Posted by AMPC Blogger on Sep 12, 2018

Are you a young agricultural scientist, innovator or researcher with a big idea to help improve the sustainability and efficiency of the red meat processing sector?

The 2019 Science & Innovations Awards is your chance to apply for a grant of up to $22,000 to fund your project on an innovative or emerging scientific issue that will benefit Australia’s red meat processing sector and the broader Australian agricultural community.

The recipients of the awards will be publicly presented as part of the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) Outlook 2019 conference in Canberra.

Winners of the Science Awards are then invited to apply for the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources’ Award, which provides additional funding for an extended research project.

Applications close 5pm AEDT on Friday 12 October 2018. Applicants must be between 18-35.

For further information on the awards, and on how to apply, visit www.agriculture.gov.au/scienceawards or phone 02 6272 2260.
