AMPC has created a suite of videos to help meat processing plants communicate to their employees. The videos cover key aspects of infectious diseases, COVID-19, how to stay safe at work, how to use face masks, and what to do if you’re not feeling well.

AMPC is also encouraging its members to be prepared and review their current risk management frameworks as well as nominate employees to become COVID marshals and complete training.

AMPC has created a suite of videos to help meat processing plants communicate to their employees. The videos cover key aspects of infectious diseases, COVID-19, how to stay safe at work, how to use face masks, and what to do if you’re not feeling well.

The videos are self-paced and if watched in sequence the videos take approximately 30 minutes to complete. It is intended that the videos can be used as a training resource for both existing and new plant staff, either in sequence or individually depending on the training requirement.

The videos are located on the AMPC website.

Infection disease management

Empowering red meat processors to be capable of dealing with significant events, such as an infectious disease outbreak, is essential for the long-term viability of the industry. Recent events in Australia have shown that sudden COVID-19 outbreaks across States have led to swift shutdowns and enforced isolations.

AMPC is encouraging its members to be prepared and review their current risk management frameworks to ensure that they meet the new challenges to our industry.
