Australian Institute of Company Directors Course available for grassfed beef producers

The long term productivity and profitability of the grassfed beef industry is reliant on the industry being represented by producers with strong corporate governance and leadership skills.

Cattle Council of Australia, in conjunction with Meat & Livestock Australia, are providing the opportunity for fourteen grassfed beef producers to develop their skills in corporate governance.

The AICD Directors Course is a five-day comprehensive programme that covers board governance
and directorship.

Producers taking part in the course will gain an understanding of:
• The role of directors and issues involved in board participation.
• The need to measure risk and Risk Management Strategies.
• The importance of an organisations financial performance and methods for monitoring.
• Producers will also gain enhanced business skills that they can utilise in their own operations.

CCA and MLA wish to provide beef producers the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge within their business to ensure a sustainable and productive cattle industry.

The course is open to all grassfed cattle producers that have a desire to provide leadership within the grassfed beef industry.

Applications will open 9.00am, Monday 21 November 2016 and close midnight, Sunday 29 January 2017.
